Which tour is best, full stop. I cannot answer it and neither can anyone else writing this page, because the answer inverts on a fact about you rather than a fact about the tours. Every booked tour on this site is priced per person. The boat is priced per boat. Those two things do not compare until you tell me how many of you there are, and then they compare so violently that the winner changes.

MX$1,500 divided by MX$626.20 is 2.4. So the line falls at three. Nothing on this page changes that line; it is a government-published rate divided by a scraped one.

Go to a dock, agree MX$750 an hour for the boat, bring your own food and drink, and keep the difference. Four people save money from the first hour. Eight people are paying MX$187.50 each for two hours. There is no tour on this page that beats that, and pretending otherwise would be the most obvious lie this site could tell. The one thing that changes this: if nobody in your group wants to negotiate a price in Spanish at a gate, buy your way out of it. That is a legitimate reason to pay more, and it is the reason most of these products exist.

It meets at Canal 237 on the Nativitas dike and includes a local guide, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, sweet treats, one quesadilla or sope per person, music over a speaker and a souvenir. Tips, extra services and live music are excluded, and so is getting yourself to the dock. This is the benchmark every other price on this page gets read against.
The party boats
Two of them, and they are the only products here that can be tied to an official venue listing, because both leave from Embarcadero Las Flores Nativitas, which appears on the CDMX government’s own venue list. The tequila-tasting boat is MX$752.50 per person, 5.0 from 378 reviews, two and a half hours, guided in English, Spanish and French. The boat party is MX$994.50, 5.0 from 1,699 reviews, two to two and a half hours — and it is the only one of the eight whose own exclusions say transportation to the meeting point is not included, which matters if you are staying in the center.
Both advertise unlimited tequila and beer. Separately, the 2020 rules limit alcohol to one bottle of up to one liter of spirits per boat, or a maximum of three 355 ml beers per adult. As we have that rule, it governs what passengers bring aboard. I could not find any source on how it applies to a licensed operator serving drinks on its own vessel, so I am stating both plainly and drawing no conclusion from putting them side by side.
The quiet one, which is not a trajinera
A kayak, MX$1,000 per person, 4.8 stars from 57 reviews, two and a half to three and a half hours at sunrise or sunset. It includes the kayak and equipment, secure parking, a visit to a ranch and stables and a coffee break. Fifty-seven reviews is thin and I will not pretend otherwise. No meeting point was published on the product page, so I am not naming a dock for it. If you have read the party-boat reviews and wanted the opposite, this is the honest answer.
The food tour, where one hour of three and a half is on the water
MX$1,100 per person, 5.0 stars from fifteen reviews, capped at eight participants, meeting at the Catedral de Xochimilco rather than at a dock. It is a walking tour with tastings of quesadillas, tacos and tlacoyos, plus a one-hour trajinera ride. Read that split honestly: this is a food and market tour with a boat in it. And 5.0 from fifteen reviews is not the same claim as 4.9 from 631.
The two combination day trips
The Coyoacán combination is MX$887.01, 4.0 stars from 357 reviews, five hours, meeting at city-center hotels. It is the lowest-rated product on this site and it stays here because a comparison that lists only winners is not a comparison. Note its exclusion trap precisely: pickup from the meeting point is included; hotel pickup is excluded. The operator lists those separately.
The Frida Kahlo day is MX$869.95, 4.4 stars from 3,894 reviews — more reviews than the other seven combined, and the second-lowest rating on the site. It runs nine to ten hours with transport from the city included, and the museums and lunch are included only if you select that option. A ten-hour day is a different product from a two-hour boat ride and should not be ranked against one on price.
The island trip
MX$1,100 per person, 5.0 from 140 reviews, two hours total, meeting at Liga de Veteranos in the north of the borough. The operator describes it as visiting the original Island of the Dolls. I report that as a claim, because El Universal documented in February 2026 that at least two replica doll islands exist and that visitors are routinely taken to them. Ask which island before you board. Two hours is also much faster than the one and a half to two hours each way El Universal reports for a trajinera from the central docks; that is consistent with leaving from further north in a faster boat, but the vessel is not stated anywhere I can check.
